OK - I am the total new comer - no history at all - but I can see this 'discussion' continuing until everyone agrees to form a 'united unit' to represent / support / care for the breed -- like in having ONE National club, instead of two - If the 'Old Club' ever gets to the point of accepting 'AKC only' dogs, what would then make their 'mission' different from the AKC Parent Club? I'm sure there might be some differences somewhere - but it sure seems to me that this is still hurt feelings and clinging to 'the old way is the only good way' - with lots of folks bringing up the issue every so often -- Not that I see this happening -- this is just what all this 'stirring the pot' seems to be showing me - And frankly, it seems to me a 'united group' of supporters would do ever so much nicer a job of defending / supporting / educating the world about this lovely breed - rather than the divided and confusing situation that is today -
