Hi Gerri,

Are you saying that those few breeders that did not register their
dogs with the AKC when the stud book was open now want to do
so? I had not heard this before. I had only heard from a few owners
who bought their dog and then discovered AKC's events and
services and that their dogs were not eligible for anything more than
an ILP registration. The ILP allows for participation in all AKC
events except conformation competition, but it does not allow for
litter registration privileges. What would you suggest for when to
reopen the stud book and for how long? Perhaps those that have an
interest in getting their dogs registered could send a request to the
ACKCSC Board. All of the board members have email addresses
and they are on this page on the club site:

Thanks for your input.

Take care, Jackie
