Pam,
Actually I don't think there is a problem if you own AKC only dogs.  You just
couldn't breed them (even to other AKC only dogs) without being in violation
of the COE.  Section II. Breeding #3 says, and I'm quoting here..."If I
decide to breed a litter I will breed only Cavaliers registered with or
eligible of registration with the CKCSC."  Also, please note that that line
was in the COE BEFORE AKC recognition.
