Sorry Susan -

I saw litters being registered with dogs as young as 6 months old, maybe
4 - 6 litters a year. Some were intentional and some were admittedly
accidents. I was the person who wrote to the BOD two years in a row
asking that the age be raised to a year. They "compromised" on 9
months. Again, breeders don't like being told what they can and can't
do, and as a breeder now I agree, but if a female must be a year old,
there was NO age specified for a male at all. Somehow that didn't seem
to me to be equitable. FWIW.
