No, Pat, I didn't miss that boat. The door was closed prior to my getting
my first Cavalier. And, it was the owner of the dam who chose not
register AKC.

The boat I did miss was the one carrying all the information on the great
battle. When I was doing my research on Cavaliers, no one even mentioned
registration problems, etc., and I contacted breeders in both clubs.

I did write the president of the AKCSC about a year ago, regarding any
avenue I might take registering AKC and was told rather succinctly that the
stud book was closed and would remain so.

I will follow up on your second post...regarding registration without
showing..and then the "get" being able to be registered and shown.

I do not think that the AKCSC would give me any help at all from the
corespondence I have had in the past. Maybe if there were other inquiries.

Thank for the info, Elaine
