No, you are not being unreasonable. I think that the terms were "grasping"
and over reached the rights of the stud owner, but the other party has the
right to walk away from this. I don't think that ANY stud is worth
relinquishing the right to place my own litter as I see fit or to set the
price of my own puppies. What's to stop the stud owner from buying your
extra puppies at $1800 and selling them for a profit? What else would they
need several puppies from one litter for? If you keep one or two from a
litter of six and they get the other four or five, what else could it be?
They are not going to keep that many.
