hi myra,
i have heard of restrictions similar to this on cavaliers a couple of times.
i have not heard of this kind of nonsense in any other breed and i think you
were right in refusing to sign the contract. when you use someones dog for
stud, if they dont trust you enough to think that you will make the right
decisions for your puppies, then they should not have agreed to let you use
the dog in the first place. i have no problem with letting a stud dog owner
have first refusal on something that the bitch owner is not keeping, but like
you, who are they to tell you how much to sell your puppies for? afterall,
they are your puppies to do with as you see fit. like i said, in all my
years in dogs, i have never heard of stud dog owners calling the shots for
the resulting pups.
