Okay Ladies, Time to pour a glass of wine, pop a Midol and relax!
Mary- Breeding dogs and whelping puppies is a very high stress, high risk
endeavor. Breeders deal with lots of unforeseen and unavoidable tragedies, and it
is even more heartbreaking when they are unnecessary-I don't think anyone one this
list feels otherwise. That said, you will learn that long time breeders often deal
with this heartache with black humor and irony-much as medical and police folks do.
And how many dead puppies were there, Judy?
Claudia-As stated in her introduction to the list, Mary is a new Show person, not
yet a breeder, and joined the list to learn. That said, let's give everyone on
this list the benefit of doubt and be a bit, er, gentler...
Myra-Aren't those blankity-blank vets making a killing on us! Vet bills suck.
(This is not an ironic statement, Mary)
Annette-I've seen more whelpings and c-sections than I care to divulge, and have
never had a rupture, so I too was curious. Hmmm...perhaps Myra needs to trash her
line 'cause it must be genetic. (That was an ironic statement, Mary)
Kim in Los Angeles, who has daily road rage to deal with-doesn't want to deal with
it on the list, too.
