How true, Judy!  About 18 months ago a novice whelped a litter sired by a
very top male.  Because the bitch only had 3 pups in the litter, she passed
around her opinion that the dog was "defective."  One male pup was
monorchid - but now that she has "imports" from a line that does not have
that problem, she won't be having monorchids ever again.  With all this
expertise, she did not know males had to have two - which also meant that
the breed standard was never read.  Not every novice can be taught.
