There's such value in scrutinizing other breeds, even if they're not one's particular cup of tea. So many people bail out after their breed's been adjudicated, generally muttering darkly about placement iniquities as they scatter like buckshot. <vbg> Staying to watch other breeds and the groups can be invaluable. I may never share house space with an Irish Setter, any of the terriers, or an Otterhound, and I may never employ a handler like Kaz Hosaka or approach the dizzyingly successful owner-breeder-handler levels of a Pat Trotter, but I certainly do appreciate what each has to offer to the keen observer.
