I agree that we, if we love dogs, should get to know and value all the
attributes of each breed. I know I could never live with them, but I've
always been fascinated with Saluki's, love Otterhounds because of a
19th-century sculpture that depicts a bunch of them swarming into a stream,
and love all of the setters.
What I don't understand is the fascination with Pekes? I understand
how Poodles are so flashy and such showmen...but Pekes?
I also asked the Hoflin list the same question: could someone please help me
understand why judges seem to be so enamored with Pekes? I'd really like
to have a better understanding about this issue. Thanks.
