Joan, Thanks for your response. Baker is just a year old and is just now starting to look like a mature cavalier. I have him entered in 4 days of shows this weekend and a few more in the upcoming weeks. I'm just frustrated because we just started looking good (doing well in handling classes, etc) and now this! I am also off of work right now and actually have the time to work with him and show him, and hopefully i will never have this MUCH free time again in my life.
When I called the groomer to tell them what they had done they said " well, we thought trimming the feet was weird since we've never trimmed a cavaliers feet before......" so why start now i must ask? I had told them he was showing etc, and that they were not to be trimmed when i dropped him off. ....... I gave them til the end of the today to call me back with a plan for making things right. We shall see what the morons come up with. No matter what they come up with, i will not be happy unfortunatley. If you were ready to campaign him to a rapid championship, or to Special him, you have missed the end of the Spring season, but ... lots of folks take a bit of time off in the hottest of the summer & come back in the fall anyway.
