Mary: I agree with everyone saying, get him into the ring for experience. We were showing Dickens AKC in Pleasanton last year. Everyone ringside, agreed that she was a shoo in for first. The Scottish judge noticed that all of her belly hair was exactly the same length. She was just coming into a beautiful coat and the puppy hair on her underside had not started to really grow yet. The judge asked Diane, "Did you trim her under here?" To which Diane, shocked, said, "Definately not. No. That is just her hair the way it grew." The judge placed Dickens fourth.

Don't be embarrassed, use it as "no pressure" ring >experience. If you place, it's just icing on the cake.
