It was a puppy that I had sold locally to a doctor's family. They actually have two of our boys. The Ruby, Henry, is fine and never had a problem. But the Blenheim boy reacted to Sentinel and Intercept. They finally put the boy on Heartguard, just plain old ivermectin type, and he never had another problem. He is on the small side so the other stuff may have been too strong for him. Also, the mom in the family has spoiled him to the point that he's almost ruined. She didn't do that with Henry. I don't know why she did it to the Blenheim. Have you ever seen children who are fine until Mom comes home? That's the sort of spoiling that I'm talking about. Who knows whether the heartworm preventative was really the problem? Some breeders use the type that he got and don't have problems. However, I have used ivermectin for upteen years and never had a problem with it. All the best, Susan Cochran
