Robin I read that too when I was first researching a raw diet years ago. But
on occasion during the last few years I have mixed the two and rediscovered
that the results were not good. Seems kibble is asking the stomach to digest
something in a different way than it is working with the raw food. I. too,
thought BARF diet by Billinghurst was going to be the way to go so we tried
it with our two Cavaliers and one Norfolk Terrier for the last three months.
Our terrier eats anything--always--so she is not a variable. My older
Cavalier puppy (10 months) has stopped eating it. The younger puppy
continues.) So I am going back to doing the raw diet myself. That they all
eat with no problem. Too bad the BARF didn't work for us. It saved me money
and time. But I did sort of miss the nurturing feeling you get when you
create dishes for your family. I also remember the BARF Diet distributor
being somewhat leery that his food would sell well. But he did not elaborate.
I was too excited thinking I had found the answer to our raw food problem to
ask.
