Thanks Laura, for explaining things much better than I could have! (I
didn't reply when I first saw the post claiming that "Raw chicken is not
safe" lest I be regarded as encouraging Yet Another go round of this --
misconceptions and replies, which can be misconstrued as arguments.) But I
also know many of us sign off-and-on the list and repetition can be
valuable -- and I believe Laura's post was useful and informative to all of
us. (I've been feeding raw chicken since 9/1/2000, with not a single
problem to any of us -- good sanitary practices should always be used, of
course!)
