OK - sorry for the confusion. My definition of "testing hips".......having OFA evaluate the xrays and only use dogs that pass "in their opinion". That's why I don't claim to puppy buyers that I OFA.
In general, I don't believe in eliminating a dog based only on a failed OFA. Other factors must be considered. Because I feel OFA xrays are subjective, I don't send them in. I will have an xray done to see the hip joint......and then use it as a tool. I utilize health clinics for annual heart and eye certification and provide copies to buyers, have my vet check patellas and xray hips for my own information. this is exactly what I tell prospective buyers. pam Terri wrote: > Pam now I'm confused (what else is new) LOL.
