Hi, Cathy,
I have one girl with a chronic skin problem. We know it isn't food
allergy (did the unique protein bit and it didn't stop her from
itching), but she always comes up with yeast in her skin tests. It is a
bear to eradicate; not sure if one can do that even using cider vinegar
as part of her diet (which we tried). The best I seem to be able to do
is to bath her with Selsun Blue a few times in a row, keep her ears
really clean and use hydrocordisone rinses. If I keep up that regimen
she stays relatively happy. At this point, I think some of her behavior
is obsessive/compulsive as she will chew her feet even when I know she
isn't generally itchy. Perhaps try the Selsun Blue? Some folks use a
half water/half vinegar rinse and it does seem to work for them; but not
for our Blythe.
Best,
Suze
