Hi, Judy, and List,
I am in complete agreement here. Mason Pearson brushes seem to
"migrate" from our grooming area, so I've gone to the trouble to get a
special gold pen which will mark our name on ours even over dark colors.
And, I pick up and pack up my stuff carefully and quickly.

But, more importantly, I see lots of unattended dogs at shows and this
REALLY scares me. Gary and I have commented on seeing dogs (one standard
poodle comes to mind) who have been set on grooming tables alone for
HOURS. PETA and AR aside, I've seen kids and strangers mulling around
talbes and crates of unattended dogs that have made me very nervous. I
worry about the kids getting bitten or claiming to be hurt by someone's
dog (who might be provoked by prodding), or feeding the dogs something
terribly inappropriate, and I worry about someone stealing a dog.

Our dogs are NEVER....and I mean NEVER out of sight of someone
responsible at a show. I may not be at the crate/grooming area, but
either I have my eye on it or one of my family does at all times. In
fact, my kids sometimes come to shows and make $1.00 here and there for
"crate sitting" for various breeders.

Be careful out there.
