As much as you may disagree, Joy, this is not an AKC issue. AKC and ACKCSC do not have to change their rules, their code of ethics nor anything else in order for those of us who dual register to breed to AKC only dogs. It isn't their issue, because it isn't their ruling. We aren't talking about something that the two sides need to get together and straighten out. We are talking about a CKCSC USA issue that can only be resolved by action by CKCSC USA and it's membership. When I first heard about the situation five years ago, I thought too that there was an easy solution. Five years later, I realize that it is almost a no win situation. The problem is this: CKCSC is mostly a pet club. The vast number of it's members are pet owners, not breeders. The majority of the breeders dual register and many, many of them would like to breed to AKC only cavaliers. The pet owners are not in favor of this. They out number the breeders by a significant amount. When it comes up for a vote (in 2003 I think) it will be defeated by the pet owners. If you will notice, one of the original headings today was: Education of the membership. That's what this topic is about....how to educate the members so that they will feel comfortable about voting yes. Myra
