First of all, CKCSC does not require DNA testing. AKC requires DNA results at the present time only for dogs if they are used more than three times in a year or seven times in a lifetime. There already is a health registry that is open to all and it is administered by people in the CKCSC. Additionally, there is a premier breeding list that requires that all breeding animals used are fully tested with test results submitted to the people who administer the list. This is not a simple issue and there probably is not simple solution. It is fraught with emotion, misconceptions, and old personal vendettas. This same discussion was happening 3-4 years ago and it continues today. None of us has changed our position nor is it likely that we will. Myra
