AKC doesn't have to recognize CKCSC only dogs. They did that when the stud book's foundation dogs were compiled. Everyone had an equal opportunity to register their CKCSC dogs with AKC. Most breeders either went totally AKC or dual registered. Any CKCSC breeder who did not dual made a choice that is irrevocable. Their only option is to start over with AKC dogs or with imports.
One thing that CKCSC members don't seem to realize is that the CKCSC irrelevant. The AKC doesn't need the CKCSC and doesn't have any pressing reason to do anything for the old club. If CKCSC members want change, it is entirely a CKCSC matter. The AKC will do nothing to either impend nor improve the situation in the CKCSC. They are simply not interested as the old club no longer matters in the AKC world. The time when the CKCSC did matter was when they were extended the invitation to be the parent club. At that time, they could have gotten many perks and the ability to have some power within the AKC. They opted out and now it is too late. It is sort of like asking an elephant to care about the remains of a human on its toenails.
