Hopefully everyone will recover , inside and out, quickly.
Crating any pet during travels is imperative. Upon becoming DART certified ( Disaster
Animal Response Team) I learned that wire is not the crate of choice for the reason
you'd stated. Animals are more easily injured than when enclosed in wire. Heavy
plastic is the carrier of choice. In the event that your vehicle had rolled, the dogs
, as well as passengers,injuries could have been more severe due to the crate rolling.
Wire also may come open upon impact where the plastic stands a better chance of
withstanding the trauma. Thanks for sharing.
