I have a girl, here in California, who comes to my shop monthly and cleans clients dogs' teeth. She is very good. The Veterinarians complain because it's a loss of a couple hundred dollars annually per client for them. Pet dental hygenists can be good or bad, like anyone else. They do use sterilized equipment. The teeth are done using techniques for cleaning human teeth, which includes polishing. The dogs my friend Barbara turns down are those with serious gum/tooth problems which need Veterinary attention. My cavaliers get done regularly and have beautiful teeth. I'm in California. Linda
