This is the same problem with manicurists. Most of them just soak the instruments, and they are not clean. I almost never get a manicure, but did have one manicurist tell me that she had different sets for each client if that's what they wanted. She said there were lots of problems by just soaking the instruments. I am almost sure that when Nick (my Chin) had a skin infection a few months ago that it was from my groomer's brushes, etc. I have a groomer come to my house occasionally, and after that happened I have started asking her to use my brushes, nail clippers, shampoo, etc. My vet suggested that was the possible cause of his problem (a bald spot not just from regular shedding). I think problems occur from things like this much more often than we think.
