I soaked up the pee if it was fresh first, but then soaked the area with the oxi-clean solution and let it stay there for a good long time before trying to soak up the excess liquid. Smell was gone or nearly gone in all cases. I've use Simple Green also.....because I like the smell it leaves.....I wash down my patio area with it where the dogs go.
