When I was a teen-ager, I talked my mother into purchasing a light gray wool rug for the living room. You could not kill that rug. She would feed my kids, when she had them, whatever they wanted. My 3 year old daughter only wanted macaroni and cheese for dinner so she let her eat the whole box, she promptly threw it up on the wool rug. This was repeated with red spaghetti sauce with another child, milk from their bottles, etc. She would use whatever she had at hand, it would come out and you could not tell there had ever been anything there. At some point in time she moved the rug to her bedroom, till she said she could no longer stand looking at it and gave it away. The rug had to be at least 25 years old, if not 30. Sharon Gamboni
