Hello, List,
I have a tough one with which I'd like some help. An old high school
friend of mine has decided that her family MUST have a Cavalier. In all
likelihood, they would be an excellent home, though I haven't been to
see it; this is coming from a "reunion" list. Additionally, (of
course), she can't afford to pay full price for one. She has asked my
help to find a companian pet Cavalier who "needs a good home" no gender
preference, hopefully blenheim. To make things more difficult, they are
looking for a young dog but hopefully old enough to have had housetraining.

SIGH.

How does one explain that a healthy, one year old housetrained pet is
not going to drop out of the trees for a bargain price? (I've tried,
but I'm not getting anywhere as she believes that somewhere a Cavalier
MUST be in need of a loving home. That is, a healthy, happy,
housetrained one. <G>)

Any thoughts? I'm not likely to have such a dog in the near future,
though I do sometimes run on two from a litter and place one eventually.
If someone does have such a pet prospect, please email me privately.
I like this person, but haven't seen her home situation. She lives in
the New Paltz, New York area.

Best,

Suze
