Winnie - Thanks so much. I usually get an "envelope" from them about November to make a donation. Even though this is not necessarily Cavalier related, it is dog related. Sue Sternburg who runs the Kennel and Shelter is a most remarkable person. I've known her through Camp Gone To The Dogs, and learned an enormous amount from her about dog behavior. She has written a book I believe and I have a couple of workbooks on "How To Test a Shelter Dog", and a video. She started a program called "Training Wheels" and with donations, bought a Van and goes out into the back woods of upstate NY and stops by peoples houses (she did battle training at the NYCASPCA), where she may see a dog tied outside and rather than giving the family a lecture, she gives them help. Maybe a tie out run for the dog, or a new collar, some toys, what ever her donations have brought her. Then she shows the people how "smart" their dog is by teaching it a few tricks in a few minutes! It is enthralling to see her work and hopefully improves the quality of life for that dog.
For anyone looking to make a generous, tax-deductible (I believe) donation to them, I will repeat Winnie's info: Rondout Valley Kennels 4628 Us Highway 209 ACCORD, NY 12404 845-687-0802 Diane Zdrodowski (not affiliated) ========================================================= "Magic Commands": to stop receiving mail for awhile, click here and send the email: mailto:LISTSERV@;APPLE.EASE.LSOFT.COM?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20NOMAIL to start it up gain click here: mailto:LISTSERV@;APPLE.EASE.LSOFT.COM?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20MAIL E-mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] for assistance.
