If that is so should the developers not be frank up front and say that Clojure is not meant to be used on Windows? It won't do Clojure's image any good if Windows users are spending hours vainly struggling to install stuff, following misleading advice. More positively, perhaps there could be a 'snapshot' build of everything required, tested on Windows 7 and downloadable from official sites.
