I am using Clonezilla 1.2.4-28 to clone a Dell E4300 Windows XP laptop. I've
noticed that there is a hidden partition (sda1 - FAT16) which contains the Dell
utility. Windows boots from sda2 and we have a data directory on sda3.
The laptop comes with a 160GB. If I insert a 250GB drive and proportionally
size the drive, the system fails to boot (no blue screen) or we get a NTLDR
(0xc000000e).
If I don't do a proportional resize, the image loads fine.
I don't know of a way to reimage without the Dell partition, outside of a
complete rebuild, but I cannot expand to a larger disk.
I have also tried doing a backup of the Windows partition (sda2) and force it
to sda1 but I've had no luck with that.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.
Steve
