For the most part no...I would say that almost all routers equipped with a
DHCP server will usually handles all of that stuff.  However, I have been
known to be wrong and it could very well be a function that exisits.  Even
if it doesn't theres certainly nothing diificult about entering IP's unless
you have tons of them.

Just curious why you aren't using DHCP though?

Just got hooked up with shaw. Speed is good. Have spent a few hours here
trying to get router to do what it's supposed to. Only thing is this:

When I don't use DHCP, (for the local addresses I mean) I have to enter
DNS addresses manually for each client shouldn't the router still do
this? I have an SMC router...
