Most of those little routers will do that for you, however /some/ of the
SMC routers will not.  I have a SMC router that does that for me, however
I have seen that some of the newer models don't.  To get it to dish out
the DNS server upon DHCP request, there should be a setting inside the
DHCP server setup for DNS server IP.  Just enter in the Shaw DNS servers
you want to use into that and it should work for you.  The DHCP server on
those SMCs get the DNS server from the ISP but won't give it out to it's
own DHCP clients.  You can try upgrading your firmware to see if that
works, but as far as I know it's a problem with SMC and they haven't fixed
it yet.
