(clug-talk) Please help me get rid of windows

Hi All
Trying to get SUSE 7.3 Pro on a thinkpad 770
After 2 days of windows grief I want to dump windows
Altogether, no dual boot.
SUSE is unable to resize or delete the windows partition.
I formated the drive but of course it didnt get rid of the partition.
I would use FDISK but this machine doesnt have a floppy.
Its been a long week so I am probably forgetting something
basic but cant see how to proceed.
Any Pointers Please?
