(clug-talk) ATI Rage & XFree86-4

I have four systems using ATI Rage video cards, Rage 128 and Rage Mobility. None of them can run XFree86 4.x. XFree86 3.3.6 works but I need to get the problem solved. The error I get I "No valid modes found".

There does not seem to be any postings about this on google. Three of them are PCI, one is an AGP, none of them work. I can't believe that I would have so much trouble and no one else. XFdrake just is not helping. Has anyone solved this.

Can some one please send me their /etc/X11/XFree86-4 file if you use XFree86 4.x and an ATI Rage card.
