Have you tried sticking a Knoppix cd in there and checking it's settings. It has pretty good H/W detection and X configuration. It's worked on everything I've put it into.

There does not seem to be any postings about this on google. Three of
them are PCI, one is an AGP, none of them work. I can't believe that I
would have so much trouble and no one else. XFdrake just is not helping.

Can some one please send me their /etc/X11/XFree86-4 file if you use
XFree86 4.x and an ATI Rage card.
