Hi y'all. I want to thank every one that took the time to respond to my query. I've printed out the responses and will be going through them all trying different attacks on the problem. It's just the sort of helping hand or leg up I newbie needs. I'm going to continue to try to learn linux as I believe in it more than the "other" OS "choices" out there. As I am familiar enough with MS to actually teach it, I sort of expected Linux would not be too hard to learn, but I have to admit, it is taking longer than I expected. I am persistent, however, and with the encouragement and support of this group, I know I will succeed.

Once again, thanx to all who took the time to reply. If there's anything I can do in return, let me know. I can, for example, burn copies of distro's for anyone in need. I have copies of Knoppix, 3.1, Red Hat 8.0 or Mandrake 8.2 and 9.0. I know I can't help much when it comes to running/installing/tweaking, but at least I can provide something if only in the way or ISO's on CD.
