This is very true.... I have seen many times where McAfee doesn't catch a
virus NAV does and vis versa.  It's not just the DAT differences that
cause this though, the engines have different strengths/weaknesses too. 
In all of those cases both AV software DAT files were supposed to catch
the virus but only one did.
