I have a brand new SMC NIC (the box still has the plastic wrapping on it - unopened) that I'd be willing to donate for the server if needed.... (I'd like it back afterwards though - I'm treating it as a backup in case my DLinks fail).

I'm curious as to how you got Half-Life to run under Linux. I didn't add it originally as I didn't think it could, I stand corrected. Would RTCW be good enough for you Curtis? It's still in the whole WWII vein. I suspect we would have fewer problems with it. I am probably getting ahead of myself, we need to see what folks want to play. I have a wish-list item for the event, that is a dedicated Game server. If you have such a box or some components that could go into such a box (for the event only) please contact me. Hell, I'm not even sure what the specs should be. I guess it depends on whether we are playing something brand-spanking-new or not. > I loved InstallFest and I am looking forward to attending any/all CLUG > InstallFests that I possibly can. > > That being said, GameFest makes me even more excited. :-) Wow, Linux + > FPS LAN party -- I think I might explode (at least, when shot). ;-) Not > pretty for Jarrod's house tho', methinks. ;-) > > Man, I am super stoked about the idea.
