Hi Cameron, I had this same problem... I was switching back and forth from a ".doc" format and "swx" format. I would get this warning that said "Saving in an external format may result in data loss.... blah blah" Would you like to save it as a Star Office format...
What I do now.... 1) Save frequently to both formats. Click the disk icon but don't assume that updated the expected file... 2) Select "Save As..." and save again to the other format...
