Can't help you with this one.
1) a simple util to list all duplicate files in a given dir, based on filename/size/etc.
2) a util that will let me sort MP3/OGG files by bitrate, so I can then delete any of my old 96KHz files (spoken word, etc.) to free up some space ;-)
Take a look at netjuke (netjuke.sourceforge.net). It seems like an interesting project and I think Johnny said he has had great success with it.
I was also looking in the latest Linux Format and they entioned a project called Rhythmbox (www.rhythmbox.org). It is a media player but seems to be quite feature rich for the 0.4.5 release. I haven't checked it out personally, but they gave it a Hottest Pick in the mag.
