Again, I'm going to need some more information. What version of Mandrake
are you trying to install? The latest version is 9.2 so if you are
working with something older you might want to give it a try, or you
could try a different distro. as well. What exactly happens during the
install? Does it give you an error message, does it stop or lock up the
whole machine? If the GUI doesn't say anything, you can try hitting
Ctrl-Alt-F1 and then Alt-F2, etc. to switch between virtual terminals,
there may be some more info. there. Take any error messages and run them
through Google, most of the time you won't be the first person to have
that problem. Post it to the list as well, and we may be able to help
you out.
