You might want to take a look at the SAIT computer store. Sometimes they 
have some pretty good deals on laptops. The computers are usually used; a 
student drops out and they sell his leased laptop. I bought a toshiba 1800 a 
few years ago for pretty cheap and I've had no problems with it. The only 
problem is the warrenty only lasted 10 days or so.

Hi All,

I've been elected to purchase a new notebook for my sister. I'm currently
looking at an Apple PowerBook or, in the event that the PowerBook is too
expensive, an HP x1000. I was wondering if anyone on the CLUG list can
recommend any good shops/dealers in the Calgary area that would carry
Apple or HP notebooks. Also, any recommendations on other notebook models
would be great.
