I bought an ibook and various accessories from MyMacDealer and although
they weren't rude or ignorant, I felt like they didn't care at all, just
going through the motions. I get more fulfilling service buying from 7-11
or Macs. After buying, they provided almost no help on questions about
the products I had bought, I guess they didn't care since they already had
the sale. I recently called to ask when they would be recieving the new
15gb ipods, and the person who answered the phone basically said "I don't
know". No guess at an ETA, again just didn't seem to care. I called
westworld and they didn't know when either but they gave me a time frame
and asked if I'd like to be notified when they do arrive. It's not a huge
deal, but I perceive MyMacDealer to have no enthusiasm and no helpful
service.

the desire to support local dealers is honourable, but if they don't wanna
support you then what do you do? I know future shop sells some apple
products, also the UofC. I don't know what your experience with
compusmart was, but I was there recently after not being there for a long
time and I found their products and service to be pretty good. They do
price matching even if the price is through an online store, they just
include the shipping cost into the online store's price.

me, I'll prob try westworld and if I have experience like yours then I'll
look elsewhere.

Dave
