Hey Folks, We should get this poll up on the Website!
> Just for fun... > > 1. What distro are you currently running? Primarily SuSE > 2. What distro were you running before that? Redhat, Mandrake > 3. Why did you switch? One time after after hosing yet another install (usually happened via updaters), I thought I'd try another distro (usually flip-flopped between RH and MDR). The first time I installed SuSE was via ftp (SuSE 7.2) and I never turned back. It has one of the best updaters from all the commercial distros (though admittedly emerge is probably as sexy as it gets - but thats a different kettle of fish), the YaST admin tools are nothing short of amazing (ncurses via console, and GUI-rific with X, same functionality with both). Everything you need readily accessible and in one place. > 4. What DE/Window Manager do you use? KDE (Windowmaker or Blackbox if resources are an issue). Cheers, Marcel > My answers: > > 1.
