I had checked out their site, but what a company claims and what happens in the real world are often two different things. So I figured I would check with others first.
After reading more on Win4Lin, and discussing it with Jason V., I am leaning more toward that Cost is not that much different (~ $70-ish for Wine Rack or ~$120 for Win4Lin). But both are significantly cheaper than WMWare (~$400).
Win4Lin runs the whole Win98 OS, whereas Wine only runs certain Win-based programs. This was a concern as I need to use my Macromedia software as well (where I can).
I was willing to stop using Fireworks and go back to the GIMP and only use Dreamweaver with Wine Rack. However, with Win4Lin, I should be able to use the whole Studio MX setup (emphasis on “should”).
Additionally, the Win4Lin site notes that they expect a release that will allow Win 2K emulation, sometime this year. So upgrading to a stable system will be possible.
Also, the issue of system resources (i.e. will Win4Lin take up more memory, etc. than Wine Rack) should not be a problem on this system as it is pretty well packed (1 Gig of ram, Intel 3.06 P4, 64 MB video). Either should run pretty speedily on this machine.

I know they claim that the apps in the Office 2000 pro suite works completely (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) which I can vouch for. I haven't tried Publisher though.
I know with later versions of MS-Office, things get a little fussy with some of the applications - MS-Access for instance. so for across the board support, MS 2000 works great, after that it's gets a little dicey depending on what apps you want to use.
