Thank you for all of this support. I will respond to each comment individually, since there are so many. Firstly, I don't want to bring my laptop to school for many reasons. It has a short battery life, is heavy, and I don't want to have to worry about it. Also I want to use it as a server until I get something more suitable. Also, as Dave Lee pointed out, I would be seen as a hacker if I started pulling out network cables and plugging them into my laptop. Remastering Knoppix is not an option, as the tech would still be paranoid and there would be a possibility that others would use the "full-featured" version. For those of you sending e-mails, thank you. I have not discussed the matter with my principal. Our tech is new, so his e-mail address is not posted. You could send it with instructions to forward the e-mail to Mr. Paddock (I think that's how it's spelt).
