I know they're supported, but I was playing with a Dell SFF desktop from work, and I have to say, the video and sound on the i845 boards totally suck. They work, but barely.
The box is a P4 2Ghz w/512Megs RAM, and watching a DVD is too choppy to be watched. (The display actually doesn't ever show anything except pieces of an interlaced image, they update about 10 times per minuite). Sound is on for ~.5 of a second, then off for .5, then on, then off. It never gets better. If it was a server, it'd be great, cause it's nice and fast to do most things, that aren't video or audio intensive, but as a general purpose desktop, it sucks. I foresee it becoming a IPcop firewall for us, and it'll be awesome at that for the foreseeable future. With a better video card, it would probably be useable. Shared RAM for video is a stupid idea, and it's never fast enough to be useful, IME. But it's cheap to put in... Kev.
