yep, the 939's SMOKE... they are very capable machines that pack an amazing punch. as for distro, SUSE or Gentoo work very well, and i'm sure the others that have amd64 ports do as well (i only have experience with SUSE and Gentoo on amd64 right now =) ... building software from source is a bit trickier only because the build systems are still adapting to it, but it's not a huge deal and there are several on this list who have "been there done that" that can help out, i'm sure. -- Aaron J.
