Same experience with Shaw.  At least they have rolled out to a limited
area first.  To test simply telnet to a non-Shaw mail server on port 25.
 It should be obvious if you are affected or not.

Shaw does not even offer the option as yet.

I had TLS setup with SMTP auth.  Fortunately it was trivial to have exim
listen on port 587 and 465.  Having said that, I think it is a
ridiculous "solution".
